The Rusty Iron Towers: A Tale of Stone, Flesh, and Ruin
Once, the Rusty Iron Towers stood as an unbreakable bastion of dwarven might, rising high above the jagged peaks of the Ore Mountains. Their foundations were forged from the bedrock itself, their walls sculpted from the very essence of their creators—stone-skinned dwarves whose hair shimmered like veins of precious metal. These dwarves, the Unyielding Kin, were a race unlike any other, carved by the hands of the world’s oldest forces.
For centuries, the fortress thrived, its forges breathing fire into steel, its warriors unyielding as the stone from which they were hewn. But prosperity invited envy, and from the depths of the forgotten world, an ancient horror stirred. Lor’K, the Fractured Hunger, an entity shattered into three warring fragments, turned its insatiable gaze upon the fortress.
One of Lor’K’s fractured aspects—known in legend as The Maw of Rust—slithered into the heart of the Rusty Iron Towers, its whispers like grinding metal against rock. It did not come to conquer through brute force but through corruption. It seeped into the veins of the Unyielding Kin, poisoning them from within. One by one, they felt their immutable stone bodies soften. Their flesh darkened, their veins bled molten metal, and their hair of ore dulled into brittle strands. The proud dwarves had been cursed with flesh, stripped of their immortal forms and made vulnerable to the decay of time.
Enraged, they fought against Lor’K’s corruption, but it was too late. Their once-indomitable fortress became a battleground in a war that still rages to this day—a war spanning over a century. The Maw of Rust fed upon the dwarves' pure iron, turning their weapons to dust, corroding their armor where they stood, and reducing their proud towers to crumbling husks of oxidized ruin.
Now, the Rusty Iron Towers are a shattered relic, a labyrinth of rusted gates, collapsed halls, and forgotten treasure chambers. Within its depths, the remnants of the cursed dwarves, now divided between those who embraced their new forms and those who still seek to undo the curse, continue to fight a desperate battle. They clash not only with each other but also with the restless horrors that Lor’K’s hunger has birthed—rustborn monstrosities, creatures of living oxidation that devour iron and flesh alike.
Yet, despite the ruin and despair, legends persist of untouched vaults hidden deep within the fortress—relics of the stoneborn age, weapons that have resisted the corruption, and knowledge that may hold the key to reversing the curse. Adventurers who dare to set foot within the ruins are drawn by these stories, hoping to uncover the lost treasures of the Unyielding Kin. But none who enter leave unscathed—if they leave at all.
For within the Rusty Iron Towers, the war never ends, and the Maw of Rust is always hungry.

AI was involved only in the creation process of the promotional images. However, producing these art assets still demanded intensive manual labor. This manual work primarily involved design, outline drawing and polishing. Although AI played a role; it does not dictate the design. And the creation of those images remains a manual process. We understand that some people may have concerns about using AI, but please bear with us, as we are operating as an indie team with a very limited budget. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.
